Everyone knows I have an extra soft spot for fellow fire families, so I was so excited for this session today. This little 5 day old was such a dream!!! He was SOOOOOO SWEET!

Laughter. That’s what it’s all about. I had SO MUCH FUN with this adorable family. They were cracking me up and they were so relaxed (which made me relaxed!). I have known these big 8th grade twins since they were very small. They are now taller than ME! I have always worried about my own girls becoming preteen/teenagers one day but seeing what wonderful boys these two have become gives me hope that it wont be as bad as I thought. However, their handsomeness (is that even a word?? LOL) is going to make their poor mama crazy! They are cute AND sweet and they always have been.
Of course we had AMAZING light once again. I am in love with evening light.

I set up a shoot last night to practice some OCF (off camera flash) for the first time…the OCF part didnt go so well. Let’s just say I have a lot to learn! HA! However I got some great shots at sunset using natural light so I thought I would share them here. Thank you Brittney for being our model on such short notice!

I just attended my very first workshop at The Ebell Club in Long Beach. It was called “The Wedding!” It was a fake wedding that went from the engagement all the way through the reception. We rotated through stations and had new challenges at each station. It was a lot of fun! Here is the first round of pictures I have. Thank you to all the leaders that helped with this day!
My challenge for this shot was “kissing”!!! These models are just friends but I think this is HOT!

This was the “bridals” challenge. It is a popular thing for brides in the South (and East Coast?) to have bridals done weeks before the wedding. It’s a shoot focused just on her, her dress, her beauty. I wish this was common on the West Coast!

I picked up my girls from grandma’s house after a shoot one night last weekend. I had to pull over so I could get some pictures of my girls in this gorgeous colorful sunset. It was past their bedtime, they were in their jammies, but I just had to stop. LOL Poor kids! There were so many colors! It was really beautiful!
Everything about this maternity session was stunning. We had amazing light, amazing location, and amazing people. I am beyond thrilled with these. I am very excited to meet their baby boy when he arrives for his newborn session in just a few more weeks.

Let me start by saying I loved this family! They were so excited about their shoot and that made me excited! I was very happy when they agreed to an evening shoot because we had the BEST light. I never get to shoot in the evening but I think I should start requiring it! Seriously, we had AMAZING light and I was so happy with these.
I love when families come out for pictures with grandparents and great grandparents. I think they are SO important! Besides, look how amazing great grandma looks!!!
This little girl thought I was the best! She was such a great model!
