August 26, 2011I am so thrilled my doctor gave me the OK to shoot this wedding ceremony! I worried all summer about not making it and letting down my bride and groom. I had a good friend Kelly from True Bliss Photography stay and shoot the rest of the night. This couple looked gorgeous and it was a beautiful evening! It felt great to be back at work even if it was just a short amount of time! If all goes well, I can be back to work as early as next week!

This is a very special blog post. I don’t often shoot events but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to capture our friend Bruce returning home from his second deployment. Bruce works with my husband at the Costa Mesa Fire Department and has been gone for a year. CMFD is so proud of him and happy he is home safely. This homecoming was such an awesome experience for me and I would love to capture other homecomings. Photographing all the friends and families waiting to see their loved ones again, the anticipation, the laughs, the tears and then being reunited. I could see in their eyes how much these families went through over the past year and it really touched my heart. I still get teary eyed when I think about it. It was a great day! We are glad to have you home Bruce!

28 weeks | Orange County Pregnancy Pictures Photographer
August 11, 2011You may notice this blog is a little neglected lately but I have good reason! I have been on bedrest for the last 5 weeks and spent the last few days in the hospital. They stopped preterm labor, gave my baby a round of steroids, and finally sent me home on very strict bedrest. I am really anxious to get back to work so hopefully I will have some fun Fall sessions lined up for Holiday photos! Right now, I have to stay flat and keep this baby cookin! Be on the look out for Fall mini sessions!
For now, here is my baby bump at 28 weeks! 
I have had so much fun documenting this pregnancy. Since I cant do a full photoshoot yet, (I hope to have a real shoot at 32 weeks but we will see) its been nice to get a photo every now and then to see the progression! These are nice because I didnt even have to put on makeup! lol
